How To Flash HyperX ROM on Galaxy S Duos GT-S7562 Smartphone

Samsung Galaxy S Duos GT-S7562 is a decent Android smartphone and it comes with 1 GHz Cortex processor. The device runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. If you have already using this Galaxy S Duos smartphone and want to install a custom ROM, then installing HyperX ROM on your smartphone will be a good choice.

Here, I have given a full working tutorial to flash HyperX ROM on your Samsung S Duos smartphone easily. Following procedure is only for Galaxy S Duos GT-S7562 smartphone. So, don’t try it on any another devices.

Flash HyperX ROM on Galaxy S Duos

Prerequisites:

1) First, make sure that battery of your Galaxy S Duos is over 70% to carry out the installation process without any power issues.
2) Next, create a complete backup of all necessary data including SMS, logs, images, apps and games on your smartphone by using appropriate apps.
3) Ensure that you have enabled USB Debugging mode in your smartphone. Also, ensure that you have downloaded Samsung USB drivers (based on your smartphone model number) and installed in your computer, so that you can connect your device with it.
4) Finally, make sure that you have rooted your device and installed CWM recovery. If you don’t know how to do it, you can follow our guide to root Samsung Galaxy S Duos. If that’s not enough, you can follow the video tutorial, given below.
Once you have completed all above prerequisites, then you can move on to the main tutorial. While flashing the HyperX ROM, a triangle symbol will appear on the screen whenever you boot your phone.

Tutorial To Flash HyperX ROM on Galaxy S Duos GT-S7562 Smartphone:

1) To get started, you need to download the HyperX ROM file to the computer.
2) Once downloaded, you have to connect your device with the computer by using Original USB cable. Then, copy the downloaded zip file from computer to your device external SD card.
3) Now, Switch off your smartphone and enter it into CWM Mode. To do this, you need to press Volume Up + Power button + Home button at the same time for few seconds until it become active.
4) In CWM mode, you need to perform Wipe data, Cache and dalvik Cache on your smartphone.
5) Now, you have to select “install zip from sdcard” and then find the HyperX ROM zip package and then choose “yes” option to allow the installation process on your device.
6) Once the installation process is completed, reboot your Galaxy S Duos smartphone. Be patient, your device will take around 5-6 minutes for reboot and reach the home screen.

Tutorial To Update Gionee Marathon M2 With Android 4.4.2 Kitkat:

  1. To begin, Unzip the downloaded firmware files and SP Flash tool file, by using software’s such as WinRAR or WinZip.
  2. Next, Open the “Flash Tool” executable application from the extracted files and then select the Scatter-loading option and choose the “MT6592_Android_Scatter” which you will find the extracted firmware folder.

Android L is the latest version of Android mobile operating system developed by Google. It contains plenty of new features along with an efficient battery performance. If you have Nexus 5 Smartphone or Nexus 7 tablet and want to install Android L, follow the step by step procedure given here.
CAUTION: If anything happens during the installation process, don’t held us responsible. Proceed at your own will. The following tutorial is only for Nexus 5 phone and Nexus 7 Tablet. Don’t try it on other devices.

Prerequisites:

Install Android 5.0 Lollipop On Nexus 5 Or Nexus 7 Device
  1. First and most important thing you have to do before installation process is taking a backup of personal data in your device. You can use this backup to restore the data, if something weird happens during the installation process and your device gets crashed.
  2. Enable USB Debugging In Nexus 5 Or Nexus 7
  3. Enable USB debugging on your Android device. To do this, click on Settings and go to “About Phone” option and tap on the “Build Number” for about six-seven times to enable “Developer Options”. Now go to Developer Options and tick the box next to USB Debugging to enable it.
After finishing these prerequisites, you can proceed with installation process.

Tutorial To Install Android 5.0 Lollipop On Nexus 5 Or Nexus 7:

  1. To begin, you need to download the Minimal ADB and Fastboot tool and install it on your computer. Once done, you will see a command prompt window opening up just like the one given in the screenshot below.
  2. Minimal ADB and Fastboot tool Command Prompt
  3. Then, you have to download the Android 5.0 firmware file based on your device. You will also need 7-zip to extract the files from the .tgz format. Now first extract the .tgz archive and then extract the .tar file in the same folder where you have installed Minimal ADB and Fastboot tool (for Windows users the path will be:c:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot).
  4. Next, download USB driver for Nexus devices, extract it and save it on your computer.
  5. Now, connect your device with computer by using original USB cable and then follow this path in your computer: Control Panel -> Devices & Printers. You will see your device listed there as “MTP”. Now open its properties by clicking on your device name. In the next window, go to Hardware Tab and select your device (Nexus 5 or Nexus 7) and then choose “Properties”. In the next window, go to “Driver” tab and click on “Update Driver” and then choose the folder where you have saved the USB Driver files. The update progress will go on for few seconds and once it is done, you will see your device as Android Composite ADB interface. Also, you will see a warning message in your device asking for permission to enable “USB Debugging”. Select “Always Allow” and enable it.
  6. Next, you have to switch-off your phone and boot it in Fastboot mode. To enable this mode, press and hold the volume down, volume up and power buttons at the same time. Alternatively, you can type “adb reboot-bootloader” in the command prompt to restart your device in fastboot mode.
  7. Nexus 5 Fastboot Mode Install Android L
  8. Now, your phone should be in a lock state, which won’t allow you to install the Android L image. You have to type “fastboot oem unlock” in the command prompt without quotes to enable it. In the next screen, you will be prompted with a message to “Unlock Bootloader”. Select “Yes” using the volume rocker.

  10. With the bootloader unlocked, you can install the Android 5.0 Lollipop in your device by entering “flash-all” without quotes in the command prompt. The process will begin and it will go on for few minutes.
  11. Flash Android L Command Prompt
  12. Once the process is finished, you must lock the bootloader option for security purposes. You can do this by booting into the fastboot mode (follow Step 5) and by entering “fastboot oem lock” in the command prompt.
  13. Now reboot your device!
That’s it. Now you have successfully installed the Android 5.0 Lollipop on your Nexus 5 (or Nexus 7) android device.

How To Root Samsung Galaxy S Duos (GT-S7562) Video Tutorial:

Procedure To Flash Stock ROM On Galaxy S Duos Smartphone:

  1. To begin, you have to download Stock ROM based on baseband version of your device and then Odin V3.09 file on your computer. (To check the baseband version of your device, then go to Menu option and then click on settings and then click onAbout to know the baseband )
  2. Next, Power-Off your Smartphone and boot it to download mode. To do this, press and hold Volume Down Button, Home Button and then Power Buttonsimultaneously for few seconds until it is active.
  3. Once in download mode, connect your device to the computer. Now open “exe” file. If you have installed the drivers properly, the ID: COM will turn into yellow or green color.
  4. Now, click on “PDA” and then choose “CODE” file.
  5. Click on “Phone” option and then choose “MODEM” (If you do not find this file, then ignore this step).
  6. Click on “CSC” and then Choose “CSC”
  7. Click on “PIT” and then choose “.pit” (If you do not find this file, then ignore this step)
  8. Once you have completed above steps, ensure that Reset Time and Auto Rebootoption are checked on Odin. Also, check that you have selected “.pit” file in re-partition box.
  9. Then, click on the “Start” button in the Odin to begin the installation process and it will take few minutes to get completed.
  10. Once the installation process is finished, you will be able to see “Pass” Message on the Odin window. During this process your device will be automatically reboot.
  11. That’s it! You have successfully installed Stock ROM on your Galaxy S Duos Smartphone without any issues.

How To Install CWM Recovery On Karbonn A18

Karbonn A18 is a quality Android smartphone which comes with a 1000 Mhz processor supported by 1GB RAM, a 4.3 IPS LCD touchscreen display, a 5 mega pixel camera for taking high quality pictures and it runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. If you own this device and would like to root, well don’t worry. It is prerooted. So just install a SuperSU or SuperUser app and you will have root access.
Now, if you would want to install custom ROM firmwares for Karbonn A18, then you will need to install CWM recovery first. Here, I have given a full working tutorial for installing ClockWork Mod (CWM) recovery on Karbonn A18 smartphone.
WARNING: The procedure given here is tested and it is working. Still, I can’t give any guarantees that nothing wrong will happen. So, if anything happens to your device by following this tutorial, don’t held me responsible. Proceed at your own will.
Install CWM Recovery On Karbonn A18

Prerequisites:

1) This procedure will wipe out all your personal data in the smartphone. So take complete backup of all the data by following these tutorials: How To Backup The SMS, MMS And Call Logs to Gmail & How To Sync The Android Contacts With Gmail Account.
2) Ensure that your device has a good battery backup because if your phone gets switched off during the process, then it will surely get bricked.
3) Download Karbonn USB Driver based on your smartphone model and install it on the computer, so that you can connect the Karbonn device with the PC.
Once you have done these prerequisites, it’s time to move on to the main tutorial.

Tutorial To Install CWM Recovery On Karbonn A18:

1) To get started, download CWM recovery imageSP Flash ToolMTK6575 Driver andMTK6575 Scatter file to your computer. Once done, extract the MTK6575 Driver and run the setup.exe. Now, connect your smartphone without it’s battery to the computer and let Windows to install the required MTK drivers. Once the installation is completed, disconnect your device from the computer and put the battery back into it.
2) Next, rename the download CWM recovery image to “recovery.img”. Once done, extract the SP Flash tool zip file and install it on your computer. Once installed, open it and in options, select USB Mode.
3) Now, press the Scatter-loading button in the SP Flash tool and select the download MTK6575 Scatter file. Once you done this, the flash tool will automatically add details to all the entries in the window. You will also see a box (which will be checked by default) next to the entries. Now uncheck all the boxes except for the entry “Recovery”.
4) Now click the “Recovery” entry and select the “recovery.img” file (Step 2). Once done, press the F9 button on your keyboard. You will see some warning messages. Just ignore them and wait for the status bar to show “Searching”.
5) Once you see the “Searching” message, connect your phone to the computer (the phone should be switched off with battery in it). The flash tool will start installing the recovery image and during the process, you will see a “Red progress bar”, a count down, again a progress bar in Yellow and atleast a green circle in the flash tool Window.
That’s it. Now you have successfully installed CWM Recovery on Karbonn A18. Now to check whether the installation is successful or not, disconnect your device from the computer and switch it by pressing the Power and Volume Down button. If the installation is successful, you will see your device booting into the CWM recovery mode.

Android One smartphone’s are excellent Android devices. In India, Android one device’s are available from three companies: Karbonn, Spice and Micromax and they have created them in partnership with Google. All the Android one devices comes with 4.5 inch IPS LCD display, 1.3 GHz Quad core processor and they run on Android 4.4 Kitkat Operating System (with planned upgrades to Android L). If you own this device and want to root it, check out the procedure given here.
Here, I have given a simple step by step guide to root Android one smartphones and also to install Custom Recovery on the phone. This following tutorial is only for Android one device, so don’t try it on another device.

Root And Install CWM Recovery On Android One Smartphones

Prerequisites:

  1. First thing to do before rooting process is taking a backup of your device data such as contacts, SMS, photos, file, games and apps by using appropriate apps. Although this rooting device will not wipe out your data, it is safe to have a backup.
  2. Next, make sure that the battery level of your device is above 90% to carry out the below instructions.
  3. Next, Enable USB Debugging Mode on your device. To do this, Navigate to Settings -> About Phone -> Build Number (tap it on for few times) to enable Developer Options. Once done, go back to Developer option and enable USB Debugging by ticking the box next to it.
Once you have completed these prerequisites, you can proceed with following tutorial.

Tutorial To Root Android One Smartphones:

  1. To get started, you need to download Kingoroot and CWM Recovery on your Computer. Once done, install Kingoroot on your computer.
  2. Next, connect your Android One smartphone to the Computer by using an appropriate USB cable. Now wait for few minutes as the computer will take up a few minutes to install driver of your device.
  3. Now, open the Kingoroot application and follow the on-screen instructions. After that, click on the Root button to begin the rooting process.
  4. Once done, Finish message will appear on the Window. Now you can disconnect your device from the computer.
That’s it! You have successfully rooted your Android one device. To confirm whether the rooting process is successful or not, install “Root Checker” app and get confirmation. Now, let’s find out how to install CWM recovery on Android one.
Procedure to Install CWM Recovery on Android one Smartphone:
  1. To begin, you have to unlock the boot loader. To do this, you have to boot into your device’s recovery mode with the help of ADB.
  2. Once you are in ADB, enter the following command.
  3. fastboot oem unlock
    fastboot format userdata
  4. Then, type the following command.
  5. Adb reboot bootloader
  6. After entering the above commands, you have to type these:
  7. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
    fastboot reboot
  8. In the installation menu, you have to select external SD card for installing apps, restoring and other operation. Don’t use internal storage for installing process.

  1. The update procedure given here is a data loss process. So, you have to take abackup of your personal data including Call logs, SMS, Photos, Contact, apps etc., on your Smartphone manually. To backup APN settings, just follow the path:“Application->Settings->Wireless and Network->Mobile Networks->Access Point Names”.
  2. Next, ensure that battery backup of your device is above 50charge it fully to carry out the upgrading procedure.
  3. Then, you need to enable USB debugging on your Smartphone. To do this, follow our Tutorial To Enable USB Debugging.
  4. Make sure that all the drivers are properly of your smartphone are installed on your PC and also ensure that the ADB is installed in your PC. If you haven’t installed the USB drivers, download it from here and install.
  5. Next, ensure that the boot loader of your Xperia Z1 is unlocked, so that you can carry out the following procedure.
Once you have done all above instructions, then you can proceed to the main upgrading tutorial.

Tutorial To Update Sony Xperia Z1 With Android 5.0 L Firmware:

  1. To get started, you have to download Lollipop AOSP 5.0 Package andadb_fastboot_files and extract it on your computer.
  2. Next, you have to boot your Smartphone into the fastboot mode. To do this, you need to switch off your device and then press Volume up button and then holdvolume up button. Once your device enters in the fastboot mode the LED light will turn into blue color.
  3. Once done, connect your Smartphone to the Computer via original USB cable. Then, you need to navigate to the fastboot files folder (which you have already extracted into a folder in your computer at step 1) and then press “shift key + Right click” to choose the “Open Command Prompt Window”.
  4. After entering into the Command prompt, you need to type the following commands:

    fastboot flash system system.img
    fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
  6. After flashing all the above files, you have to reboot your device by using the given below command.
  7. Fastboot reboot
  8. Now be patient, since the process will take 4-5 minutes for installing the firmware and initializing the apps in your device.

  2. Then, you have to take backup of data’s and stuffs on your smartphone. Flashing a new firmware will always result in the loss of data. So, keeping a backup is good and it will help you to restore the data later.
  3. Next, Check the battery percentage level of your device and make sure that it is 75% or above, so that you will never face any issues while carrying out the update process.

Tutorial to Install Android 4.4.4 Kitkat On Xiaomi Redmi 1S:

  1. To begin, you have to download CyanogenMod ROM and Google apps package(GAPPs package) on your computer. Once done, connect your smartphone to the computer and transfer these two downloaded files to the SD card (do the transfer without extracting the download packages).
  2. Redmi 1S TWRP Recovery
  3. Once done, you have to boot your device into the TWRP recovery mode. To do this, press the Volume up button and Power button at the same time until your device enter into the Recovery mode.
  4. Now, in the recovery menu, go to the install option and then choose the CyanogenMod ROM package in your SD Card. The ROM will be installed. After that, you have to go to Wipe option and then execute the basic wipe. Don’t do Advanced Wipe or Factory Reset.
  5. Once done, you have to install the GAPPs package in same way you have installed CyanogenMod ROM and then do another basic wipe. Next, reboot your device. Since a new ROM has been installed, the first boot will always take some time. So, don’t panic! Just be patient until your device boots normally.
  6. That’s it! You have successfully installed Android 4.4.4 Kitkat firmware on your Redmi 1S smartphone by using the CyanogenMod ROM.

Rooting your device allows you to play a lot of stuff with it such as you can overclock/underlock the processor,access root files, install a custom ROM, etc.
Here, I am giving this very simple step by step tutorial on how to root Sony Xperia M. Please read the whole article before implementing any changes to the device.

Root Sony Xperia M

Prerequisites:

  1. Take a backup of all the necessary stuff such as Contacts, SMS, APNs, etc.
  2. Keep your device charged at least upto 70%.
  3. Install USB drivers oF Sony Xperia M on your computer.

Procedure To Root Sony Xperia M:

  1. Download the Rootkit which you will need to root your Xperia M.
  2. Now, connect the device to computer.
  3. Extract the Rootkit and copy the ‘.apk’ file in to the external SD card of your device.
  4. Disconnect the device.
  5. Now, install the ‘.apk’ file that you have placed on your device.
  6. From the app drawer, lauch the app you have just installed.
  7. Choose ‘GANDALK exploit’ option and follow the instructions given on screen. At the end of the instructions, rooting process will start.
  8. After completing the process, reboot your device.
  9. Congrats! You have successfully rooted your Sony Xperia M.
  10. You can verify whether your phone is rooted or not with the help of ‘Root Checker‘ app which is available on the Playstore.

Prerequisites:

  1. Take a backup of necessary data such as Contacts, APNs, EFS folder, etc. Follow these two guides to take backup: How To Backup The SMS, MMS And Call Logs to Gmail & How To Sync The Android Contacts With Gmail Account.
  2. Charge your device up to 70% of its full capacity.
  3. Your LG G2 must be rooted. If not, you can follow our tutorial to root LG G2.
  4. Install a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) on your device with the help of Odin.

Procedure Install Optimus G3 ROM On LG G2:

  1. Download the Optimus G3 ROM Package for LG G2 from here.
  2. Move this zip file to the SD card of your device and do not extract it.
  3. Now, enter into the recovery mode. To do so, power off the device. Then, press and hold Power + Volume Down buttons simultaneously until you enter the recovery mode.
  4. In recovery mode, wipe all the data/factory reset.
  5. Then click on ‘install zip from SD card‘ and further select the zip file which you have placed in your device’s internal memory in Step 2.
  6. This will start the installation process and it will take some time, approximately 10 minutes.
  7. After completing the installation process, you will be redirected to recovery menu. Reboot your phone normally from there.
  8. First booting after installing a ROM always takes more time. Keep Patience!
  9. Hurray! You are done. Now enjoy the newly installed features with the great performance of LG G2.
Note: If your device doesn’t reboot or you get many force close errors after reboot, then go to recovery menu and wipe all the data again. If this doesn’t help, try to reinstall the ROM. If you encounter any other problems during installation, ask here.
